CAMERA RECORDING INFORMATION NOTICE

This information notice has been prepared in relation to the processing of personal data within the scope of surveillance activities carried out by security cameras in the accommodation facilities operated under “Tarşa Hotel Management and Tourism Trade Inc.”. The camera monitoring activities carried out in the facilities belonging to the companies and branches listed below, acting in the capacity of data controller (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Tarşa Hotel Management and Tourism Trade Inc.”), are conducted in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the relevant secondary legislation provisions.

Such camera monitoring activities are implemented in the common areas of the hotel and are carried out within the framework of the Tarşa Hotel Management and Tourism Trade Inc. Personal Data Protection Policy.

1. Data Concerning Physical Space Security (Camera Footage)

Warning signs are placed in areas where camera recordings are made, in a way visible to data subjects. This information notice is made available to data subjects at the reception, general areas, and/or information boards.

2. Method of Collecting Your Personal Data and Legal Grounds

Your camera recordings are collected automatically through CCTV systems located in the common areas of the facility (e.g. building entrances/exits, lobby, parking lot, corridors).
Your personal data are processed based on the legal ground of the legitimate interests of the data controller in accordance with Article 5/2-f of Law No. 6698.

3. Purpose and Legal Grounds for Processing Your Personal Data

a) Purposes:

Ensuring physical space security
Ensuring facility and guest safety
Being used as evidence in possible legal proceedings, if necessary

b) Legal Ground:
Within this scope, your personal data are processed in accordance with Article 5/2(f) of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, based on the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that such processing does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

4. Transfer and Retention Period of Your Personal Data

Your camera recordings may be transferred to competent public authorities and institutions (e.g. law enforcement agencies, courts) for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, either domestically or abroad. Apart from these, no transfer is made to any third party or institution.

Retention Period: Camera recordings are stored for a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days in accordance with Tarşa Hotel Management and Tourism Trade Inc.’s Data Inventory and Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy; after the expiry of this period, they are overwritten, deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by automated systems.
